Cinco Ranch reclaimed the lead with 4:11 remaining in the second quarter as Garrett Forward ran up the middle for 19 yards to give the Cougars a 14-7 lead.

Westside struck back with a big play, a 54-yard touchdown pass from Michael Goodnight to Alonzo Adams along the left sideline to tie the game at 14 with 2:50 to go.

The Cougars got good field position on the next drive and drove 63 yards in eight plays and took just 1:46 as quarterback J.J. McDermott found running back Frankie Lugo on a 25-yard touchdown pass to give the Cougars a 21-14 lead.
